So it seems as if the vultures are beginning to circle around King Magazine as we speak. I'm slightly divided on whether its for the better or for the worst. I have a stack of literature at the crib and among the print theres Complex, Game Informer, Vibe, The Source, XXL, and good ol King Mags. Every young lady that i know, never wants to beleive that King actually has excellent articles. If i'm not mistaken, theres a good ass article in this magazine that outlines the entire Jay Z and Nas beef including all the info about baby seats and man skeet. lol. They'll throw some good "where are they now?" spots along with music reviews, artist interviews, and did I mention fashion? All the new looks for the season are put on display, sandwiched between ads and articles on Issues that affect the readers.
All of this may be fine and dandy but the good is outshined by the pics of women, most of whom are my black sistas, clad in close to nothing, bent over this or sprawled across that. I aint even gon sit up here and say that the ladies aren't apart of the reason that i frequent the mag cuz they are. I'll admit that some pics are more tasteful than others and i'm more of a fan of those than the more in your face ones. Like, when my girl Toccara was on the cover and in the spread, it was very pleasing to the eye. I was excited to see her in the mag instead of breezin by on tv.
Overall, i'm MOS DEF gonna miss the mag but not totally for the reasons all you single ladies might think.
